Officially Sister Richardson :)

Hello everyone,

Week 1, here we go! This email is going to be longer than normal, but I have a few things to cover and explain. Also, I am still troubleshooting this email account, so I apologize if this first email is a trainwreck!

Communication
I know everyone's busy, and let's be honest, no one cares to read a long email. So with that being said, each week I will do my best to send "Sis. Richardson's Super Split-Seconds." This will consist of short messages, insights into my life and the work I am doing, as well as pictures. Keep your expectations low—that way I can maybe surprise you with something good. I'm only allowed to send emails once a week during my preparation day ("P-day"). Currently, my P-day is on Tuesday, but that may change when I get to DC. If you ever have questions or just want to share what's going on in your life, email me, and I'll do my best to get back to you on my next P-day! I truly would love to hear from you whenever, so don't be a stranger! Just make sure to avoid "replying all" unless you want everyone to hear what you have to say.

Missionary Training Center - Zoom
I am one day into training, and so far, the wheels have not fallen off the bus. That said, I don't have much to say about my "work" considering I've only received a grand total of 8 hours of training. But all things considered, I'm loving the MTC! My companion is Sister Church! She's from my grandparents' hometown, is a dancer at SUU, and is also the middle of 5 kids! She is seriously my new favorite person, and I'm so excited to get to know her better and learn alongside her. I'll be on Zoom until next Wednesday, May 24, when I will start in-person training at the Provo MTC. Zoom might do me in, but I'm excited all the same for the journey ahead!

There is so much for me to absorb, but even still, I know that I am exactly where I am supposed to be! God loves you and knows you. Thanks for taking an interest in my journey! Love you all, and I'll talk to you next week.

Sister Richardson's Super Split Seconds As you all know, I've never been shy about sharing my realities. With that in mind, people were mean, and I mean mean this week. It doesn't really hurt me anymore, but it also doesn't make for a great email home. On top of that, I had a lot of unexpected anxiety about ending my mission pop up, so this week was... really something. With that, I thought I'd keep it brief and share some of what's been bouncing around my head for the last 18 months. Growing up, whenever I experienced a setback or some sort of defeat in softball, my dad would often tell me, "The game's not over until it is." In other words, regardless of how far behind you may be, you always have the ability to make a comeback because there's still time left on the clock. Sister Richardson's Super Split Seconds HELLO AUGUST! Time is flying, and I really don't know how to feel! Feeling all the feels for sure. BIG NEWS... I got transferred... back to Annandale! I'm serving right below the area I served in a few months ago and right next to my first area. Honestly, I couldn't be happier; I love this little neck of the woods! I'm serving with the lovely Sister Wallin from Southern California! She's got so much fire, so I'm excited for what's ahead! TALL CEDARS, I LOVE YOU!
