Moving Crew
Sister Richardson's Super Split Seconds
Everyone and their dog is moving here in Alexandria. This week alone, we helped three families move, one of which had 8 kids under the age of 14. Pure chaos and so sweaty. Good laughs though. If you're planning on moving soon, just a friendly reminder that packing and moving are two different things.
We are so busy now that we have two areas to cover. We've been go, go, go the entire week and I just love it. It's tiring, but so incredibly fulfilling. Plus, my little girl gang companionship is just a riot. Sister VanDyke and Hubbard are so much fun!
A member fed us Jamaican street food on Tuesday and my stomach has literally been on the struggle bus ever since. Aside from that, the members truly are amazing, and getting to know a whole new set of people has been so fun! They keep it real and it absolutely cracks me up.
We're teaching, talking, and learning a lot every day. Some moments are better than others, but all things considered, life is good. My first few weeks in the field were tough. People were so incredibly mean. I struggled so hard to love the people and to understand how they could be so hateful to someone they didn't even know. But after receiving some wise advice from many of you and saying many prayers, I can wholeheartedly say, I love the people out here. I've still got a ways to go and so much to learn, but I'm grateful for the immense amount of growth and joy I've been able to experience these last 3 months!
Have the best week! I love you all so much and am so grateful for your love and support!
Xoxo,
