Sunny And 75

Sister Richardson's Super Split Seconds

Hey again! I hope you all had an amazing weekend! Friday was quite literally one of the greatest days of my life. It was sunny and 75 degrees! We walked outside without coats and drove with the windows down, and it literally revitalized me. It's amazing what a little sunlight can do for the soul.

Humbling moment. We knocked on a door, and it happened to be a house full of frat brothers. They pretty much laughed in our faces, but they did pity us enough to hear a scripture from the Book of Mormon.

After we went to the temple with Seibatu and Fatimata, we walked through the Temple Visitor's Center. The main room of the visitor's center is home to a beautiful statue of the resurrected Christ. As we sat and admired the statue, these words played overhead:

"Behold, I am Jesus Christ, whom the prophets testified shall come into the world.

And behold, I am the light and the life of the world; and I have drunk out of that bitter cup which the Father hath given me, and have glorified the Father in taking upon me the sins of the world, in the which I have suffered the will of the Father in all things from the beginning.

Arise and come forth unto me, that ye may thrust your hands into my side, and also that ye may feel the prints of the nails in my hands and in my feet, that ye may know that I am the God of Israel, and the God of the whole earth, and have been slain for the sins of the world" (3 Nephi 11:10-11, 14).

I got tears in my eyes almost immediately. It was like the Savior was speaking to us directly, and wow, was it powerful. If I was moved to tears by a statue, I can't even imagine how many emotions we will all feel when we see Jesus Christ again! I look forward to that day, and you should too because it is truly going to be a remarkable reunion. Keep fighting the good fight! I promise you the reward at the end of all of this is so worth any sacrifice you are asked to make!
