¿Donde Esta Dora?

Sister Richardson's Super Split Seconds

Happy Monday, party people! How are you? I miss you! We had a BUSY week, so stay tuned for some good content.

The Church has a program in which people can refer themselves to meet with missionaries. I can't speak for everyone, but for us, 9 times out of 10, our self-referrals are sooooo interesting. Here's my new favorite encounter with a self-referral:

Diego, Mr. Self-Referral, requested a visit, and we were the lucky ones to receive that request. We showed up, and my man was on cloud nine, if you know what I mean. As we were talking with him, out of nowhere, he yelled, "MAN, LOOK AT THIS FOOL!!" I thought he was just making fun of us or his neighbor, so I disregarded his comment and kept talking. But when he repeated himself, I looked back. To my surprise, a literal FOX was walking right behind us. We jumped, and Diego goes, "MAN, WE GOT SWIPER UP IN HERE!! SWIPER NO SWIPING!!" I almost peed laughing. Especially because his name was Diego. So, of course, the only question we had as we finished up our glorious time with Diego was, "Where the heck is Dora??"

We had a little lice scare this week. The paranoia after watching our friend continually itch their head got the best of us. Don't fret, though, all is well, and the Annandale sisters are lice-free.

The past month or so has definitely been a period that's required faith. Sister Larsen and I have been working really hard but definitely not seeing the results we want. Which brings me to my next point: this work is not OURS, but rather HIS. As we've come to humbly accept HIS will, we have been able to see our hearts, and the hearts of the people here in Annandale, change dramatically. It definitely isn't easy to completely give up our expectations or desires, but it's worth it because God's plan is just SO much better than ours! This week was a week of miracles, and I'm excited to see where the miracles take us! Thank you for your prayers! I truly feel them lift the work and my spirits!

Here's to hoping you don't run into Swiper this week.

Xoxo,
Sister Richardson
