¡Hola hola! Happy (late) Cinco de Mayo!! I genuinely can't believe it's May?!



Transfers are this week, so stay tuned for what's in store for me next! Regardless of what happens, I'm eternally grateful for the past 5 months I've been able to spend here in Annandale, and I wouldn't be too mad if I had to make it 6.



So many amazing miracles this week, many of which revolved around people giving us food. Why is this a miracle you ask? Well, our fridge currently looks like that of something from the Great Depression, so a donation of strawberries from my man Amer and a box of goodies from Tony the Great Greek was close to that of winning a golden ticket. On a more spiritual note, this past week we had so many incredible lessons with different people. It's been amazing to see the fruits of our labors come to life and to see the transformation of so many people!



We visit this woman named Donna about once a week. She's recovering from some health complications at a facility near us and definitely just needs some extra love. Her life hasn't been easy and because of that, her attitude is, understandably, not always the brightest. We've spent a lot of time encouraging her, but it's always seemed to miss the mark with her. Or so I thought until we visited her this week. When we arrived, a whole new Donna greeted us. She was up and ready to go and excited for everything! We were genuinely confused for a second. We thought maybe she had gotten her long-dreamt-of wish of going home or she'd won the lottery, but what happened was actually much deeper and way more beneficial. Donna had changed her attitude. She simply explained how she stopped letting what was, or was not, happening in her life affect the way she viewed herself and her relationship with God. This simple change of mindset quite literally unlocked instantaneous for Donna, and it can most definitely do the same for YOU!

It doesn't really hurt me anymore, but it also doesn't make for a great email home. On top of that, I had a lot of unexpected anxiety about ending my mission pop up, so this week was... really something. With that, I thought I'd keep it brief and share some of what's been bouncing around my head for the last 18 months. Growing up, whenever I experienced a setback or some sort of defeat in softball, my dad would often tell me, "The game's not over until it is." In other words, regardless of how far behind you may be, you always have the ability to make a comeback because there's still time left on the clock. I'm serving right below the area I served in a few months ago and right next to my first area. Honestly, I couldn't be happier; I love this little neck of the woods! I'm serving with the lovely Sister Wallin from Southern California! She's got so much fire, so I'm excited for what's ahead! TALL CEDARS, I LOVE YOU!
