Uno Reverse Card
Sister Richardson's Super Split Seconds
Hello lovely people! Happy (late) Mother's Day to all you amazing moms and motherly figures! Our world wouldn't go round without YOU!
Annandale! Wow, you were good to me. My whole mission has been one big growth opportunity. However, I feel like my time in Annandale stretched me to grow the quickest. I truly learned that confident humility in God is the surest way to find peace in this life. Watching so many of His children sacrifice everything for Him day in and day out, with complete confidence that He would take care of them, and He did, changed me forever! As cheesy as it sounds, a piece of my heart will always be in Annandale. A-town, you helped me more than you will ever know, and I hope to return some of that goodness to you someday.
Transfers were this week... and I'm back in Gainesville lol. The UNO reverse card was played hardcore on me. My MTC comp, Sister Church, and I are taking on South Riding and Aldie, Virginia together for the next 6 weeks! This was definitely not what I was expecting, but as we all know, this life is not mine, but rather His! I know God has a plan for me, and I know there's a distinct reason I'm back for round 2 in GV! Yeehaw.
Prank of the week: The curveball of transfers and stress of moving all my stuff intensified when we walked out to our car, only to find that our car was not outside. Yup, it got towed. Picture two girls standing in the rain, with suitcases and the odds and ends of my life attached to their backs, looking dumbfounded, and you've got a good idea of how my Friday morning went. Luckily, some of our sweet sisters came to rescue us, we got the towed vehicle, and managed to make it to transfers at a decent time. So many tiny miracles!
Everyone needs a Sister Larsen! Holy cow, she's amazing! She's quick-witted, service-oriented, and so incredibly caring. Spending the last 12 weeks with her was a party and a half, and my heart is just so grateful for her!
Thanks for following this explosion of thoughts. I love you all and I'm excited to bring you along on my newish journey in Gainesville!
xoxo,
Sister Richardson
