Living The Dream

Sister Richardson's Super Split Seconds

Hello July and hello humidity! Oh, how I missed you. In all seriousness, I would take this over the bone-biting cold ANY DAY of the year. The sun and I are besties. Also, I acknowledge how often I talk about the weather. I know it's slightly concerning and probably a good indicator of how weird I've become, but such is life.

Great things are cooking out here in Aldie, VA! Metaphorically and of course literally! 10/10 recommend Pakistani food, Hammerdown BBQ, and serving a mission!

I wish I could put into words the miracles we saw this week, but it's simply impossible. We saw so many perfectly orchestrated events that pointed directly to God's hand, and it was so unbelievably powerful. He knows, He cares, and He most definitely is orchestrating beautiful things for each of you, even if it doesn't feel like it.

Some days, the hard of a mission seems almost insurmountable. It's in those moments that I offer little pleas to heaven for help, and you know what? I always receive that help. It never comes how I expect it, but it always comes. That simple principle has taught me a lot about the power behind asking. The scriptures teach us, "Ask, and ye shall receive; knock, and it shall be opened unto you; for he that asketh, receiveth; and unto him that knocketh, it shall be opened" (3 Nephi 27:29). I can testify to the truthfulness of this principle. An answer to a prayer got me here and additional answered prayers have kept me here. It's that simple. I'm so grateful for the superpower we are given when we pray!

Much love, Sister Richardson
