Sister Richardson's Super Split Seconds

  1. This week was SO. SO. SO. BUSY. I'm literally exhausted from running around all week long! We cover two congregations, and spending close to 6 hours at the church building yesterday nearly did me in.

  2. Sister Wallin is so amazing! We've been having a ball trying new things and pushing ourselves to grow. Big things are ahead of us.

  3. We are going to the temple next week! My P-day will be moved to next Thursday, so stay tuned for some updates!

  4. We meet so many characters every day, and I just love it. Watching a lady unfold a camping chair and pop open an umbrella so she could smoke in the middle of a tropical storm made for a good laugh. Peace and love to my girl Angela!

  5. We visited with so many members this week, and it was seriously so special to get to know new people and learn how the Savior has helped them in their lives. In speaking about Jesus Christ, a member said, "The Savior healing me is the same Savior that's healing each of you." That hit me. I'm still trying to gather my thoughts on what that means to me, but I wanted to share that simple, yet profound truth with you.

Sister Richardson's Super Split Seconds As you all know, I've never been shy about sharing my realities. With that in mind, people were mean, and I mean mean this week. It doesn't really hurt me anymore, but it also doesn't make for a great email home. On top of that, I had a lot of unexpected anxiety about ending my mission pop up, so this week was... really something. With that, I thought I'd keep it brief and share some of what's been bouncing around my head for the last 18 months. Growing up, whenever I experienced a setback or some sort of defeat in softball, my dad would often tell me, "The game's not over until it is." In other words, regardless of how far behind you may be, you always have the ability to make a comeback because there's still time left on the clock. I'm serving right below the area I served in a few months ago and right next to my first area. Honestly, I couldn't be happier; I love this little neck of the woods! I'm serving with the lovely Sister Wallin from Southern California! She's got so much fire, so I'm excited for what's ahead! TALL CEDARS, I LOVE YOU!
