The Long Haul
Sister Richardson's Super Split Seconds
Hello! I'm sorry I've been MIA the past two weeks! We went to the temple, and it took up most of our P-day, so I never got around to writing a weekly update last week. Here's some fun details from the last chunk of time!
I celebrated my golden birthday/mission quinceaƱera by hitting 15 months on August 15th!
Got pranked, got a few doors slammed in our faces, taught some cool lessons, ate quite a few sandwiches, witnessed our local grocery store get robbed, laughed a lot, learned even more, and most importantly, spent a lot of time coming to know the Savior.
DC TEMPLE! It's truly magical! What's even more special, though, is the peace present inside. Honestly, a mission sometimes feels like a hamster wheel. You're always running a million miles an hour, and it often feels like you'll never have a chance to catch your breath. Well, that's at least how I've been feeling recently. However, having the chance to go to the temple was such a good reset for me! It was so special to have time away from the world to be still and focused on the Savior. I'm grateful for temples and the safe haven they provide for us away from the world!
My mission has taught me a lot, but one thing I've been learning recently is the importance of making and keeping covenants with God! So much of life is not guaranteed, but when God promises us something, He always keeps His word. I know this because I've seen and felt it firsthand. There's simply no way I would be where I am today if it weren't for the power available to me through my promises with God! He's lifted and carried me through every step of my mission, and I know He will do the same for each of you if you merely turn to Him.
Love you all!
Xoxo,
