If You Give A Mouse A Cookie...

Sister Richardson's Super Split Seconds

Hey everyone! We went to the temple today with some recent converts, so our P-day got moved to today! Stay tuned for some cute pictures of Fatimata and Seibatu at the temple.

If you give a mouse a cookie in the Annandale sisters' apartment, it will probably end up on a sticky trap. And by "probably," I mean it will. We were fortunate enough to wake up to the squealing of a mouse stuck on one of the various sticky traps a few days ago. It was major PTSD to my previous encounters with rats. #barf

Fun fact: Annandale is the largest hub for Koreans on the East Coast! It's full of cute Korean grandmas, K-pop, and of course, lots of delicious Korean bakeries! 11/10 recommended: the nurungi croissant.

This past week was a cold one. Lots of snow and so much wind. I was worried I wasn't going to get to experience the joys of shoveling snow and slipping on ice this winter, but luckily I was given plenty of opportunities to do both. Let's just say my immense appreciation for AZ is growing by the day.

Recently, I've really noticed a change in my heart. I can happily say that my love for the Savior is now one of the key reasons I choose to stay on a mission. I knew of Jesus Christ before my mission, but now, I personally know Him. There are parts of missionary life that challenge, annoy, or even scare me, but when I remember the sacrifice Jesus Christ made for me, and each of YOU, my willingness to be uncomfortable increases. My feelings of discomfort do not even pale in comparison to the level of discomfort Jesus Christ felt on our behalf. I still have an overwhelming amount to learn, but as I approach my halfway mark, I feel an immense amount of gratitude for the chance I have to represent Jesus Christ. He truly lives, and there really is hope because of Christ.

xoxo,
Sister Richardson
