Red, Pale, And Blue

Sister Richardson's Super Split Seconds HAPPY MEMORIAL DAY I'm eternally grateful to all those who selflessly serve our country. We are officially gearing up for summer. It's hot, humid, and sunny! The winter did more damage to my pigmentation than I thought because I managed to get absolutely roasted after spending only a few minutes in the sun. My buddy Valdish at the gas station got a good laugh when he saw my lobster arms. Stay tuned for a nice farmer's tan. Some weeks are harder than others. This was definitely one of those weeks. Living a rough week is definitely not ideal in the moment, but in retrospect, the hard weeks are priceless. Why, you ask? Because they teach you the most. I learned a lot about myself, what I'm capable of carrying, and most importantly, what the Savior is capable of carrying for me this past week. I learn more about Him every day, and it's changed me forever. I give Him all the credit for my mission experience because I truly woul...

A Trip Around The Sun

Sister Richardson's Super Split Seconds Howdy beautiful people!! How are y'all doing?? This week consisted of so. many. meetings. Most of which were good, some of which were not. The older I get, the more I side with my dad's view on meetings --> "Just send it in an email." Serving a mission is so special because you get to see the absolute best of humanity (and the worst, but that's not important right now lol). God sends us so many angels, at just the right time, to help us find the silver lining in all things, and it truly makes all the difference. I just wrapped up the Book of Mormon again and wow, I just love it! Prior to my mission, productive scripture study was a rare occurrence for me. Spending time in the scriptures each day has strengthened my understanding of Jesus Christ, my identity as a daughter of God, and helped me to better understand my role in God's great plan. I've come to learn that true confidence comes from seeing ourselves t...

Uno Reverse Card

Sister Richardson's Super Split Seconds Hello lovely people! Happy (late) Mother's Day to all you amazing moms and motherly figures! Our world wouldn't go round without YOU! Annandale! Wow, you were good to me. My whole mission has been one big growth opportunity. However, I feel like my time in Annandale stretched me to grow the quickest. I truly learned that confident humility in God is the surest way to find peace in this life. Watching so many of His children sacrifice everything for Him day in and day out, with complete confidence that He would take care of them, and He did, changed me forever! As cheesy as it sounds, a piece of my heart will always be in Annandale. A-town, you helped me more than you will ever know, and I hope to return some of that goodness to you someday. Transfers were this week... and I'm back in Gainesville lol. The UNO reverse card was played hardcore on me. My MTC comp, Sister Church, and I are taking on South Riding and Aldie, Virginia tog...

Cinco De Miracles

Image
Sister Richardson's Super Split Seconds ¡Hola hola! Happy (late) Cinco de Mayo!! I genuinely can't believe it's May?! Transfers are this week, so stay tuned for what's in store for me next! Regardless of what happens, I'm eternally grateful for the past 5 months I've been able to spend here in Annandale, and I wouldn't be too mad if I had to make it 6. So many amazing miracles this week, many of which revolved around people giving us food. Why is this a miracle you ask? Well, our fridge currently looks like that of something from the Great Depression, so a donation of strawberries from my man Amer and a box of goodies from Tony the Great Greek was close to that of winning a golden ticket. On a more spiritual note, this past week we had so many incredible lessons with different people. It's been amazing to see the fruits of our labors come to life and to see the transformation of so many people! We visit this woman named Donna about once a week. She's...
